1-800-Calico is a new fabric collection by Alexia Abegg for Ruby Star Society, and it's a love letter to antique calico patchwork quilts. Alexia has spent recent years captivated by the small-scale prints of vintage quilts — the way tightly scaled motifs create such dynamic patchwork, and how color and value do all the heavy lifting. These are quilts that reward a closer look, and 1-800-Calico is her way of channeling that magic into a modern collection.

To honor the tradition, Alexia blended the classic calico color palette with Ruby Star Society's signature hues, and introduced two brand-new RSS colors in the process: Chrome Yellow and Cheddar. Both have deep roots in antique quilts dating back to the 1800s, and they fit right into the RSS palette like they were always meant to be there.

The collection also includes a quilt label panel because your quilts deserve to have their stories told. Use them for past projects, future projects, gifts. Keep the history alive.
